This worked like a charm on my mid 2010 13″ MacBook pro. Guys that are having the “The device failed to respond properly, unable to recover or retry.” issue. follow the instructions exactly as they are above. The only time that I got this issue is when I deviated and tried to change directory (cd) to where I thought I should be. I would recomend just sticking to the formula.

Managed to get 846 megs on a 700 meg disc this way. Bravo.

Just worked on my 27″ i& iMac from last summer, running Snow Leopard and all the way up to date. I burned the Ubuntu 10.10 PPC image, 744MB, onto a Philips 700mb CD-R.

Hi,
I have a 89 min. audio CD and I need burn him. Trying overburn this audio CD by Chris method, but doesn’t work. If I burning data CD, it’s OK. I using 90 min. (800 Mb) Verbatim media. Don’t you know, how burning audio CD longer then 80 minutes on MAC?
Sorry for my english, I’m beginner.

Worked on my late ‘09 27″ iMac, OSX 10.6.4.

I burned 738Mo on a Verbatim CD-RW.

The first ‘burn’ attempt did return a ‘Segmentation Fault’ though, but retrying the command worked.
